Dear Human Service Professional:
Since October 1963, the Centre
County Council for Human Services has served as a networking forum for
the human service providers throughout the county. Our members
represent all areas of human services, including local county
government. The networking that the council offers, can help us help
one another and the public we serve.
We invite you to join the
Centre County Council for Human Services for the calendar year of 2010.
Membership benefits include:
 | Monthly luncheons that
offer informative presentations and networking opportunities.
Luncheons are held the first Wednesday of each month at noon.
Currently the site is Pine Hall Lutheran Church on West College
Avenue in State College, PA, across the street from Rider Auto, Inc.

 | An opportunity to honor a
volunteer at the annual Rose Cologne Volunteer Recognition Dinner.
|
 | A monthly newsletter that
helps members publicize and learn about each other’s activities.
We’re trying to reduce postage costs for the council as well as make
the newsletter more available to more people! Please indicate on
the membership application if you’re willing to receive
notification, electronically, via email of the most current
newsletter availability. Taking advantage of this option will allow
you to send the link to the newsletter to colleagues and friends, as
well as cutting postage and printing costs! |
 | Low cost training offered
by the council. |
 | The opportunity to have a
web page listing in the CentreCountyInfo.org. CentreCountyInfo.org
is a one-stop website for county residents and organizations looking
for information on organizations to meet their health and human
service needs. It is an easily searchable online database of more
than 300 Centre County organizations. |
 | The opportunity to name
two (2) delegates to represent your agency/organization at all
monthly meetings. |
 | Ability to apply for
supplemental funding through the Council’s seed grant opportunity.
