Links to Information About Diabetes
The Nittany Mountain Chapter was established in 1979. It serves as one of many links to
the American Diabetes Association to keep you
informed of the most up-to-date information and services in living with diabetes.
The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. To fulfill this mission, we fund meritorious research, publish the latest scientific findings and urge lawmakers to support critical funding for research and programs. We provide education, support groups, and other services to people with diabetes, their families, care professionals, and the public.
VOLUNTEERS are the moving force in our chapter. They donate their time, talent,
energies, and resources into carrying out the mission of the ADA. In addition to public
and professional educational programs, the volunteers are involved in fund raising, health
fairs, literature distribution, and a speakers bureau.
If you are interested in becoming actively involved as a volunteer, call our office at (814)625-0160.
